EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a medication-free, non-hypnotic psychotherapeutic procedure. The therapist guides the client in concentrating on a troubling memory or emotion while moving the eyes back and forth by following the therapist's fingers.
Every clinician
at ClearPath has been trained in EMDR. Additionally, Andrew
Seubert is an approved consultant and trainer in
EMDR and is available for EMDR clinical supervision
both individually and in groups.

EMDR in the Treatment of Dually Diagnosed (MH/MR) Clients
The following are case descriptions from therapists using EMDR in the treatment of Dually Diagnosed (DD) clients. Some are from articles, some from articles-in-progress, some simply anecdotal. Given the absence of research in this area, the intent is to encourage openness towards what clearly seems to be great potential for the use of EMDR with this population and hopefully to encourage future research.
